Fewer and fewer bats

A recent census of the bat population in the Międzyrzecze undergrounds has just concluded and according to the preliminary data, their numbers have dropped once again. In the past three years their population has now decreased by approximately 10 thousand.

Rectors of Wrocław Universities in Paris

Due in part to the initiative of Wroclaw President Rafał Dutkiewicz, the city was able to fund a memorial plaque as a tribute to polish King Jan Kazimierz. In January, this plaque was placed in the church Saint-Germain-des-Prés in Paris.

Study abroad - why not?

Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences was one of the first Polish Universities to join the Erasmus Program in 1998. Last year over eighty students studied or interned abroad in the program.

The University of Environmental and Life Sciences received a 1.3mln PLN grant (out of an available 4mln PLN) to construct the Center of Experimental Diagnostics and Innovative Biomedical Technology.

The audio guide on arboretum in Pawłowice

A picturesque location, lush greenery, a pond and a historic nineteenth-century palace all located in an eight-hectare park. Soon this garden city will be a reality and a University environmental education center.

Ph.D. Wojciech Niżański – named president of EVSSAR

Wojciech Niżański – an adjunct in the Department of Reproductive and Farm Animal Clinic has been named president of the European Veterinary Society for Small Animal Reproduction – (EVSSAR).

Equestrian events in Edinburgh

An international equestrian competition for veterinary students was held on February 25th - 27th 2011 in the Kingsbarn Equestrian Center in Edinburgh. The event was organized by the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies – Horse Society.

Successful in vitro fertilization in animals

The team at the in-vitro Fertilization Laboratory in the Department of Reproductive and Clinic of Farm Animals of Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences successfully completed the in-vitro fertilization of a domestic cat.

 

English for All — TEMPUS project.

In connection with project execution TEMPUS EFA (English for all), the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences hosted 23 guests from Israeli and other European universities (including Cyprus, Germany, Great Britain and Italy).
