  • Research on estimation of upper critical level of Ni, Co, Mn, Cd for plants

Waste management

  • Evaluation of fertilization usefulness of wastes from different branches of industry and methods of its use

Effects of environmental factors (salinity, drought, deficiency or excess of nutrients, heavy metals), growth regulators and allelophatic substances on the physiological processes in plants:

  • Nitrogen and phosphorus metabolism (nitrate reductase and phosphatases activity, concentration of nitrates, nitrites, amino acids, proteins, phosphorus),
  • Activity of antioxidant enzymes (catalase, superoxide dismutase, peroxidases),
  • Plazma membrane permeability and lipid peroxidation,
  • Activity of hydrolytic enzymes in the seeds (protease, amylase, invertase, phosphatase),
  • Photosynthetic activity of plants (content of photosynthetic pigments in leaves, chlorophyll fluorescence measurements, molecular regulatory mechanisms).
