Scientific and diactic activities


  • 20 million PLN for scientific-research activities
  • 66 research projects financed by the National Science Centre and the National Centre for Research and Development, in total for the amount close to 9 million PLN, and 82 jobs commissioned by business entities for the amount close to 3 million PLN
  • 1396 publications in total, including 521 in journals distinguished by JCR 
  • 73 inventive projects submitted to the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland, 27 granted patents for inventions
  • 6 projects run within the European Structural Funds for the amount of 20 million PLN 
  • 55 contracts on bilateral scientific cooperation with foreign partners from 23 countries around the globe
  • Erasmus+ – 124 contracts with universities in 23 countries

Distinctions and certificates


  • KNOW title (National Leading Scientific Centre) granted by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for three faculties: Veterinary Medicine, Biology and Animal Science, and Biotechnology and Food Science as part of Wrocław Biotechnology Centre
  • confirmation of highest international standards of management quality, and maintaining of PN-EN ISO 9001:2009 certificate 
  • certificates in 1st and 2nd edition of „University of Leaders” competition and additional distinctions: „Primus” statuette in 1st edition, and special prize „Aurea Praxis” in 2nd edition 
  • Golden Emblem in QI SERVICES category – highest quality service in „Najwyższa Jakość Quality International 2011” competition
  • recommendation for Lower Silesian Quality Prize
