UPWr Choir

About us

In its current artistic formula, the Choir has been active since November 2009.  Members of the Choir are mainly students and graduates of the University of Environmental and Life Sciences, but students from other Wroclaw universities also sing in it.

Since 2010, the ensemble has regularly participated in New Year's festive concerts organized at the UPWr with the participation of the biggest stars of Polish pop music. The choir has accompanied, among others, Hanna Banaszak, Edyta Geppert, Irena Santor, Justyna Steczkowska, Beata Rybotycka, Zbigniew Wodecki, Jacek Wójcicki.

The ensemble very actively participates in the musical life of Wroclaw by performing great works of oratorio music together with other academic choirs. The repertoire of the Ensemble includes a'cappella works with special emphasis on the works of Polish composers, as well as vocal and instrumental forms. We participate in national and international choral competitions.

The Choir is directed by Professor Alan Urbanek, with Marek Kudra, MA, as assistant conductor.

Wednesdays: 19.00 – 21.00
